The Board of Directors would like this message to circulate among the European Supporters.

Robert Free was fired from the Board and from the LPDC with cause, personally, by Leonard Peltier, yesterday, April 24, 2003. Shortly after that, Robert posted a letter of resignation and backdated it to make it appear that he resigned first. The truth of the matter is that his statement was a cruel retaliation to Leonard's directive, which was not shared outside the Board for reasons of allowing him to save face.

We would like the European Supporters to know that Robert's persistent violation of Board Bylaws and Leonard's personal directives plus his takeover and manipulation of the Freeleonardpeltier site, to the detriment of Leonard and the organization were the reasons for his being removed. The Board would like the European Supporters to understand that Robert Free no longer represents Leonard Peltier or the LPDC in any way.
